Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ehsan Mani has said that the legislation for the new domestic structure is underway and as soon as the government finalizes it the new system will be in place.
The PCB Chairman said that the new system will produce quality cricketers and there will no room for nepotism. He said that the 92 players who play the domestic cricket will all be in contention for a place in Pakistan’s international side.
Mani said that the new structure will set the future direction of Pakistan cricket. He added that those playing domestic cricket will earn a lot more than what they earn playing for departments.
He said that a major problem with Pakistan cricket is the lack of fitness of players. He said that Pakistan is far behind other cricketing nations when it comes to fitness standards.
